There is something oddly comforting about knowing that we do not need to wait for the results of this inquiry. There is no need to hope that this would be what would 'cross the wires' and open the debate that is forbidden. Knowing it is an exercise in shoring up the official mythos makes it more overtly akin to those war memorials that focus on the dead thus avoiding any question of responsibility for the war itself. Waiting and hoping for the inquiry might almost have excused us from having to act... But now we know that - as ever - the fate of the history to this brutal Nonsense still rests in our hands.

Thank you to the author for this excellent analysis, which confirms my long held belief that we are now firmly trapped in an era of emotional incontinence ,conspicuous compassion and now this colourful camouflage for the purveyors of the lockdown disaster : no challenges welcome- too distressing- no forensic questioning from the many many dissenters-both experts and frustrated members of the public-no true open debate.

Selective amnesia but I shan't forget what was done to us in the name of 'staying safe' and 'stopping the spread'.

Meanwhile the enquiry will drag on, while HMG does it best to redact various inconvenient Whatsapp messages .

Excellent thought provoking article. It’s very good to read a fresh view of the collective madness that we have witnessed throughout the pandemic
